After 15 years of increasingly
responsible management positions in various industries (oil & gas,
consulting and software development), Doug embarked on a seventeen-year
career shift into financial management – the last six as the Chief
Financial Officer with Dreher Company, an Investment Adviser.
In 1990 Doug was diagnosed with primary progressive Multiple Sclerosis
(MS). The disease progressed to the stage that forced his early
retirement in 2002. That has just freed up time for Doug to pursue his
next great adventure – novel writing.
Expatriate is his first novel and, if this well researched and engaging
novel is any sign of things to come, we are looking forward with great
anticipation to reading his follow-up offerings.
Doug holds a BS in Mathematics and an MBA in Finance from New Mexico
State University.
Read: Terrific article on Doug and Expatriate by Perry
Flippin, "San Angelo Standard Times."
